WBA away - KO change to mark 25th anniversary of Hillsborough

11 April 2014|Tottenham Hotspur

A reminder that our Premier League fixture against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow - Saturday, April 12 - will kick-off seven minutes later than originally scheduled to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough stadium disaster.

As a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the disaster on April 15, 1989, our match at The Hawthorns will now kick-off at 3.07pm.

In addition, a minute’s silence will be observed at 3.06pm – the time the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, at which the disaster occurred, was ended.

Similarly, all Premier League, Football League, Football Conference and FA Cup matches taking place on the weekend of April 11 to 14 will start seven minutes later than scheduled, with the minute before kick-off seeing a period of silence being observed at all grounds.
