Walker week – Kyle on WBA win and Harry
Mon 16 January 2017, 15:00|Tottenham Hotspur
Kyle Walker touched on a number of topics as he spoke all things Spurs after the fine win against West Brom – so much so, we will run a story a day this week to cover what the flying full-back had to say. Welcome to ‘Walker week’!
Walker week - Part 1
What did you think about the win against West Brom?
Kyle: “In the last couple of games we’ve played West Brom it’s been difficult to break them down. They’ve got a system that works for them so it was good to get the first goal and we picked them off from there. Harry Kane is always going to get goals, Christian has been chipping in with a few as well and it was a great team performance.”
Were you worried about Ben Foster making saves left, right and centre again?
Kyle: “I’ve been with Ben in the England squad and he’s an unbelievable goalkeeper, so full credit to him but if you keep knocking at the door, the door will come down at some point. We got the breakthrough and from there, we put our foot on the gas and kept going.”

As a father yourself, you’ll know exactly what Harry Kane is going through – what a week, his first child and a hat-trick…
Kyle: “It’s a wonderful feeling and only dads can really put it into words the feeling you get - there is nothing like it. You could score 12 goals in a game but seeing the birth of your first child is unbelievable. I said to him before the game that we should do the baby celebration if he scored, he said he was going to get a dummy out - I said ‘no, that’s not really you mate!’ He’s always going to score goals.”
