Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ramon Vega visited the Lane last week to take in the friendly encounter with Celtic and said it was 'beautiful' to be back.
The Swiss, who joined us from Cagliari in 1996, headed north for Parkhead in December 2000 and joined Celtic's charge for a domestic treble. He could not resist the lure of the game between two of his former clubs.
"If I was playing it would be a lot better, but it was nice to see both teams again and to be back at the Lane - it was beautiful!"
Ramon left Celtic after just six months to link up with Gianluca Vialli at Watford. The financial problems that have since engulfed Nationwide League clubs saw him released and now seeking a new destination.
"At the moment I'm on standby, pretty much. I'm keeping myself fit so if something comes up I can certainly jump in.
"That's the situation at the moment as everybody knows that football is in crisis, in a way. I left Watford because they had the financial problems and everything, so I'm now looking for a new club.
"There has been some interest, but it has to be the right thing. I don't want to go somewhere for a year again and come away, I would like to be committed to something."
Ramon wishes Spurs well for the new season and has taken particular interest the progress of Ledley King, who was just springing to prominence towards the end of his time at White Hart Lane.
"I hope Spurs have a fantastic season and I will support them all day long.
"Ledley always stood out in my time here. He was a young lad and I thought he had great potential.
"He just needed the confidence and somebody to believe in him. I never had doubts and I thought he had a fantastic season last year.
"Unfortunately he didn't make it to the World Cup, but there is plenty of time for him, plenty. He is a quality player."
