United U21s v Spurs - Ugo's preview

04 January 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-21s are fully focused ahead of tonight’s clash with Manchester United, according to Ugo Ehiogu.

We return to Barclays Under-21 Premier League action against the Red Devils at Leigh Sports Village in Greater Manchester having breezed past Portuguese giants FC Porto 4-0 last time out in the Premier League International Cup.

Under-21s Coach Ugo was full of praise for the lads following that game on December 23, but he says it’s now up to them to hit those heights once again in what he expects to be a tough test against United.

“It’s never easy to carry on from where you left off,” he said. “As always you never know the team your opponents are going to put out but the focus is obviously on making sure we’re as good as we can be technically and with a competitive edge.

“The boys have got quality and they’re getting more and more belief with every passing week in training and in games so the hope is that they put everything together and continue their progress.

“The players are very focused at the moment, there’s competition for places and that’s really driving and pushing everyone on, so hopefully we’ll see another good performance against United tonight.”

Kick-off tonight is at 7pm. Follow us on Twitter @SpursOfficial for live updates.
