United 1-2 Spurs - Ade hails 'great result'

Emmanuel Adebayor’s only regret coming away from Old Trafford yesterday was that we didn’t score more goals!

The big man was in terrific form against reigning champions Manchester United, heading home our first goal as we went on to claim a hard-fought 2-1 win.

And despite being forced off in the second half, Ade was delighted with the overall performance – adding that he was impressed with the number of chances we created.

“I’m very happy,” the striker beamed. “It’s a great result for the club, for the players, for the fans – especially those who travelled here.

“We scored two goals at Old Trafford and had the chances to score three, four, even five. Those are the key points for me.

“We were unlucky to only score twice and in the future, if we take all our chances, we can do even better.

“This can only kick us on again for an important game against Arsenal.”
