Under-19s fall to Bristol
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Pat Holland's under-19 side suffered their second defeat of the season, ending a two game winning run, against Bristol City on Saturday.
The boys, whose preparations for the game were disrupted by international call-ups and reserve team games, lost by a 4-1 scoreline after taking the lead in the first half.
Pat explained: "We took the lead after ten minutes, a mistake by the Bristol City defence let John Sutton in so it was a nice way to start.
"After that I think we struggled a little bit, we never got to grips with their midfield, we didn't get tight and, for me, it was a question of when they would score.
"They did five minutes before half-time with a scrappy goal, which we should have dealt with, and the boy finished it off. The keeper could maybe have done a little bit better.
"In the second half there were mistakes. Both sides had chances, they made the most of their's and we suffered because of it.
"Saying all that, it has been a difficult week for the boys, there has been a lot of international call-ups and reserve games where the boys have been involved. So sometimes you've got to forget about these games and put it down to experience.
"Hopefully, against Chelsea next week, they'll give a better account of themselves."
