Under-19 Files - part 1
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Pat Holland begins his 'end of term' assessments on players that featured in his under-19 Academy side last season, starting with the goalkeepers.
There has been an improvement in Robert as the season's gone on. His all round game has definitely improved and there is an air of confidence about his play and he knows there is an improvement in his game.
He's quite a big lad as well, so you've got the physical side of it, which is ongoing for me with him - he was quite a thin-ish lad when he came here. So you've got the physical side, but mentally he needs to get stronger, but that's with all young players.
He's had a good season the kid, he's got good hands and has done well.
I was pleased with Shwan. He had an injury during the course of the season that set him back a little bit.
We alternated with him and Robert, and both of them done ever so well. He started off the season very well for me, he's a good talker.
He had a little bit of a blip because, once they get in with me, they want to get in the reserves so they've got that ambition. When they don't quite reach that on a regular basis I think they get a little bit concerned.
You can understand that, but I've been pleased with Shwan, he's a decent lad and now he's got to work hard and try and get that head right again. It's all for him to do next year, the same with Robert.
PERRY SUCKLING - Goalkeeping coach
I think Perry's been excellent. He's got a nice way about him with the players all round.
He's been especially good with the keepers, I've watched him work and he's very meticulous with what he does. He works hard hours and there's no easy time for them and off the pitch he's been excellent with them.
He chats to them and passes down his experience of being a goalkeeper.
