Our Under-18s were denied a fine win against title-challenging Villa by a last-minute equaliser on Saturday.
Jack Munns looked to have won all three points for Alex Inglethorpe's team with a 76th-minute opener but Villa found a late, late leveller through substitute Michael Drennan.
The lads had to defend against a strong wind blowing down the pitch in the first half.
But they coped admirably with goalkeeper Jordan Archer only have to field strikes from distance, tipping away decent efforts from Connor Taylor and Gary Gardner.
At the other end, Jesse Waller Lassen looked unlucky to have a goal disallowed after an earlier foul on Villa goalkeeper Callum Barrett and the same player volleyed just wide.
The lads had more of the play in the second half although Archer was called into action to deny Josh Barton.
Munns opened the scoring with 76 minutes on the clock. He latched onto Alex Pritchard's pass and although his first effort was blocked by Barrett, he showed determination to get to the rebound first and slide into an empty net.
Pritchard and Waller Lassen went close again but just when it looked like three points were safe, Villa put together their final attack and Danny Johnson squared from the byline for Drennan to tap in.
