Tottenham Theatre will present a performance of the play Tull at the Bernie Grant Centre on July 18.
This will be Tottenham Theatre’s first production. They are funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and also run workshops for young people in Tottenham throughout the year.
The play tells the inspiring story of our former player Walter Tull, the club’s first black player, who volunteered at the outbreak of World War 1 and became an officer contrary to the army’s own rules regarding colour at the time. Sadly he was killed in the conflict.
Tull, written by Phil Vasili, was first performed at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton in 2013 to great acclaim. For further details go to http://www.tottenhamtheatre.co.uk/index.html
