Trio named in final England U21s squad for Euros

02 June 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Tom Carroll, Harry Kane and Alex Pritchard have been named in England's final 23-man squad for the European U21 Championships.

The finals take place in Prague, Czech Republic, between June 17-30.

Midfielder Tom has captained the U21s this season and scored the winner in his last appearance, a 1-0 win against the Czech Republic in March. He has been capped 14 times and lost just once, making his debut against Romania in March, 2013.

Attacking midfielder 'Pritch' has enjoyed a fine season on loan at Brentford in the Championship, where he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances and helped the Bees to the play-offs. He featured in the U21s' last two matches against Czech Republic and Germany in March and now has six caps.

Harry has enjoyed a phenomenal season in front of goal and scored goals regularly for the U21s at the start of the season. He scored six goals in eight matches in the Young Lions' qualifying campaign and has eight goals in 10 caps in total. His last U21 appearance was in November, when he scored twice against France.

First capped for the U21s against Scotland in August, 2013, Harry famously scored 79 seconds into his full England debut against Lithuania in March before spearheading the attack in his first full cap against Italy.

England take on Italy, Portugal and Sweden in Group B of the tournament with the first match against Portugal on Thursday, June 18. Group A consists of Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany and Serbia.
