A blow for Rohan Ricketts, reports our Head of Medical Facilities Dr Charlotte Cowie in our latest injury round-up.
Rohan Ricketts (medial ligament, knee)
Rohan injured his medial ligament in training on Friday. It's the ligament on the inside of the knee and protects you when you twist and turn and he's damaged it slightly. It's not a big problem but will take a certain amount of time to settle down. The average is four weeks to recover.
Fredi Kanoute (hamstring)
Fredi has what we'd call a grade one hamstring tear. He's doing well and we're hoping we'll get him back into full training by the end of the week, so he has a reasonable chance for Saturday.
Thimothee Atouba (lateral ligament, knee)
Thimothee ran on Monday but he can only run in straight lines at the moment, twisting and turning puts the ligament under stress, so we have to leave off that for a while. We're looking at another two weeks.
Sean Davis (recovering from knee surgery)
He's started to run. He's doing well and is basically still on the same timescale that we've talked about all along, the end of the month. He had a little setback last week but he's making good progress now.
Simon Davies (recovering from virus)
I'm due to see a specialist with him soon and if we get the go-ahead, he will go back into at least some full training this week. He'll still need adjustments making for another few weeks but in terms of getting back into full training, he's almost there.
