All the latest news on the fitness front from our Head of Medical Services, Dr Charlotte Cowie...

Sean Davis
Sean is doing well and the swelling in his knee has come down now. He just needs to start on his rehab programme and wouldn't be able to do that if there is any swelling in the knee so we've had to be cautious for the last week or so. He is fine but, as we reported at the time, his recovery is going to take two to three months in total to be back playing.

Dean Richards
Dean still has got the ear problem, which has made it difficult for him to train, but it is fairly widely known now that he had a scan which showed an abnormality in a completely different area and we are waiting to discover what the significance of this is. We will keep you updated on this.

Thimothee Atouba (knee)
We felt Thimothee would be okay by this midweek so he has gone away with the Cameroon team and was doing well when he left, but wasn't quite there. He will continue his treatment with them and hopefully, if he has recovered fully, will play on Wednesday.

Ledley King
He is fine, he had a bit of irritation to his knee and it didn't seem worth risking him for the friendly international. It is not something that will stop him playing generally but we were not keen to risk him as his knee was a little bit puffy after the match on Saturday. He does need the rest, if we had a midweek game we certainly wouldn't have played him, but we are expecting him to be fine for Monday.

Stephen Kelly (concussion)
It is not as bad as Erik's head injury but he couldn't remember quite a bit of the match afterwards and we had to take that seriously. It has settled down a lot now, but he also injured his thumb and is going to see a specialist to make sure he doesn't need an operation on the ligament there. If he does he should be able to play with a splint so it shouldn't keep him out for too long. We need to give him probably a couple of weeks to recover from the head injury.

Goran Bunjevcevic (calf)
Goran is doing really well, he is seeing the surgeon again on Tuesday to check on everything. The good thing is there was no permanent damage to the muscle so he should make a very good recovery eventually.
