Tour 2014 - Tom, Zeki visit Children's Ward in Chicago

Tom Carroll and Zeki Fryers paid a visit to the Children's Ward at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago on Saturday morning.

They were joined by Chicago Fire players Patrick Ianni and Matthew Fondy, members of our official supporters club Chicago Spurs and both team's mascots, Chirpy and Sparky.

The players presented gifts and toys to the children on the ward and spent time chatting with children, parents and staff.

"We visit the Children's Wards back home at Christmas every year and it was a pleasure to spend some time speaking to the children here in Chicago," said Tom.

A big thanks to Chicago Spurs for donating the toys for the children. They were represented by club Treasurer Rob Beasley alongside Anthony Seymour and Rich Desira, the two members who watched most Spurs matches last season.
