Tour 2014 - Supporting Special Olympics in Seattle

Thu 17 July 2014, 09:46|Tottenham Hotspur

Ledley King took part in a coaching clinic for Special Olympics in Seattle on Wednesday afternoon.

The Club is a global partner of the charity that provides sporting opportunities for athletes with learning disabilities across the world.

We will be working with Special Olympics throughout the US & Canada Tour, with members of our Global Coaching team delivering soccer clinics.

The clinic at Championship Field, Seattle University was attended by Ledley, alongside former Seattle Sounders player, Roger Levesque.

Ledley said: “Through the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, we have worked with Special Olympics for a number of years on a local level, delivering sporting opportunities to thousands of athletes with learning disabilities.

“It is great to extend this work on an international level, working alongside our Global Coaching team, who will be working hard throughout the Tour to deliver clinics at grassroots level to young people with a range of abilities.

“It is also good to work alongside the Sounders who, like us, have a huge presence in their local community and also have a close relationship with Special Olympics.”
