Tour 2014 - goodbye Seattle, hello Toronto!

Mon 21 July 2014, 04:01|Tottenham Hotspur

The squad flew out of Seattle and touched down in Toronto for the second leg of our Tour on Sunday.

We enjoyed a fantastic first leg of the Tour in Seattle with the players' pre-season work mixed with Global Coaching, community events including a visit to the world-renowned Pike Place Market, another packed Open Training session and Supporters Evening and a fun meeting of sporting minds with NFL champions Seattle Seahawks.

It culminated with our first friendly and a 3-3 thriller against MLS high-fliers Seattle Sounders in front of over 55,000 fans at CenturyLink Field.

"It's been a privilege to come out to Seattle," said Lewis Holtby, who scored the opener in Saturday's match. "The supporters are great. I met members of the official Seattle Supporters Club and there are Spurs fans everywhere. It’s brilliant when they come out to support us, they travel miles and miles."

We'll have the same mix of events in Toronto including Open Training and a Supporters Evening before Wednesday's friendly against Toronto FC - and a certain Mr Defoe!
