Tour 2014 competition - we have a winner!

16 June 2014|Tottenham Hotspur

The winner of our lucrative #THFCTour competition has spoken of his delight as he prepares to follow us on this summer’s trip to the USA and Canada.

Long-time Spurs fan Andrew Johnson, 42, was randomly selected from tens of thousands of entrants as supporters from across the globe tried their luck in a bid to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to watch us play in Seattle, Toronto and Chicago next month.

A pair of tickets for our three Tour friendlies, against MLS giants Seattle Sounders, Toronto FC and Chicago Fire, are now winging their way to Andrew – along with flight and hotel passes to enable him and a friend to follow us from city to city.

After initially being informed of his big win, Andrew admitted he was lost for words!

“The joy I feel cannot be measured,” beamed the lucky winner, who plans to take Raj – his 48-year-old pal who he also describes as a die-hard Spurs supporter – on the trip with him.

“I feel extremely elated and when I received word from the Club informing me that I had won I was speechless! I am so excited!”

Andrew went on to explain how and why he fell in love with Tottenham Hotspur as a young boy.

“I've been supporting Spurs since I was a nine-year-old kid,” he continued. “I remember watching a game that Spurs played and was mesmerized by the skills of Glenn Hoddle. I was immediately hooked with the flair and flamboyance of the way Spurs played and I have been a firm supporter of the Club ever since then.”
