Tottenham Hotspur to engage with a growing US fanbase through exciting new licensing partnership
The Club has today announced a new licensing partnership with US online football retail giant, Sports Endeavors Inc (SEI).
The agreement will see SEI, whose current licence partners include the FIFA 2014 World Cup, FC Barcelona and the All Blacks rugby union team, produce Tottenham Hotspur licensed merchandise, as well as source existing licensed Club products and distribute via its channels throughout the United States.
The relationship comes on the back of our successful pre-season tour of the United States, which has since seen a sharp growth in the number of US soccer fans following Tottenham Hotspur.
Now, SEI will aim to further engage with this growing fan-base by developing its own range of Tottenham Hotspur apparel and accessories.
Gary Jacobson, Brand Licensing Manager, Tottenham Hotspur, said:
“We are delighted to be working with a company of Sports Endeavors’ calibre. Our North American fan-base is hugely important to the Club and SEI dominates the online football retail space, providing a key component in our expanding international licensing programme.
“The Tottenham Hotspur brand represents style, passion and flair, backed by a team playing some of the most attractive and exciting football in the Premier League.
“Our unique approach is reflected in the way we work with licensees both at home and abroad, constantly striving to take the brand into new and exciting areas of retail.”
Doug Williams, Business Development Director for Sports Endeavors Inc., said:
“Sports Endeavors is proud to begin this relationship with Tottenham Hotspur to help fulfill the demand for official product by Spurs fans in North America.
“Tottenham Hotspur’s unique brand values are ones that we share, as well as a vision and ambition of giving more fans in America the chance to get closer to their favorite Premier League football club than ever before.
“As an international licensee, we know we can be guaranteed constant interaction with the Club’s growing global fan-base through ever-growing social media channels, an international Football Development program aimed at youth markets, and the invaluable appeal of globally-recognised players.”
