Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is delighted to confirm that players of People’s Postcode Lottery have awarded an extra £2 million to long-term supported charities. Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is one of 40 charities that will receive the extra £50,000 award from players of the charity lottery.

The additional funds will contribute to the Foundation’s community development and employment projects, delivering  creative, innovative and engaging programmes that improve social cohesion, build self-esteem and develop positive attitudes amongst young people.

The £50,000 award will go towards the launch of a state-of-the-art Digivan delivering employment and education initiatives in the heart of the community and further support Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Jobs Fairs, delivered in partnership with Haringey Council and the Department for Work and Pensions.

The Foundation is committed to delivering opportunities that change lives. Through its education and employment programmes, combined with the unique appeal of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and its players, the Foundation is successfully engaging young people helping them to develop positive employment pathways for the future and building a stronger community.

Grant Cornwell MBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, believes that funding such as this is imperative to helping Tottenham Hotspur Foundation achieve its objectives, and said: “We, at Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, believe this funding will go a long way towards helping us achieve our aim of improving social cohesion, enterprise and innovation in the local area, creating safer communities and developing the potential of our young people through targeted employability programmes.

“The Foundation runs a number of successful projects in the local area and we’re delighted that this fund will not only allow our existing programmes to grow, it will also enable us to develop more targeted projects for the future that will bring great benefits to the local community.

“On behalf of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation I would like to say a huge thank you to all the players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their continued support in helping us Create Opportunities that Change Lives.”

Sanjay Singh, Trusts Manager at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: “We are delighted that players of People’s Postcode Lottery are able to support the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
