Our top 10 countdown continues with your favourite moments number seven, eight and nine...

As always, we had an excellent response, so thanks to everyone who took time to email us.

NUMBER NINE...
Slavia Prague away, September 14...

Our first match back in European competition since 1999 and a win in the Czech Republic as Jermaine Jenas’ goal kicks-off our run to the quarter-finals.

WHAT THE FANS SAID...
Rob Clark: “Before the game outside George and Dragon Pub in Prague. There must have been over a thousand Spurs fans in and around that area and we started the best rendition of ‘when the Spurs go marching in’ I've ever heard! All the locals were out filming it on their phones, and I remember being with two of my mates and my brother just thinking that this is what it's all about, our first game back in Europe, everyone getting on, great banter, just an all round perfect atmosphere!”

Graham Osborne: “My best moment from last season? That's easy....it has to be when we kicked off again in European competition. To get back in again and see European teams at the Lane is a great experience. I live on the Isle of Wight, and even though I have to book a room in a London hotel for myself for evening games, European football makes it all worth it.”

Bradley Davis: “We thoroughly enjoyed the fact that we were back in Europe where we belonged . Our group of between 14 and 24 travelled to four of the five away games. The Cockerel flew overseas again.”

NUMBER EIGHT...
Dimitar Berbatov’s goal v Charlton, a 2-0 win at the Valley, May 7…

Voted the goal of the season by fans on our official website, Berba majestically flicked Ledley King’s pass around Talal El Karkouri, outpaced and outmuscled the defender in a 50-yard chase to the penalty area before slotting home past Scott Carson.

WHAT THE FANS SAID...
Ben Richardson: “The best moment for me this season was Dimitar Berbatov's goal against Charlton. It was then that I realised we have the best centre forward in the world.”

Graham Hambleton: “It has just got to be Dimitar Berbatov's flick past the defender at Charlton. What great skill that lead to the goal that helped us to a UEFA Cup place again. It was just sublime!"

Richard Delow: “My favourite moment of the campaign would have to be Berbatov’s goal at Charlton - total skill, pace and power.”

NUMBER SEVEN...
The atmosphere and performance at Besiktas, Istanbul, a 2-0 win in the UEFA Cup, October 19...

One of the most amazing atmospheres you could imagine, the noise of the passionate home fans started an hour before kick-off and continued to the final whistle – by which time Hossam Ghaly and Dimitar Berbatov sealed our win, our excellent display rewarded by a standing ovation by those same fans.

WHAT THE FANS SAID...
Greg Alcock: “My top moment of 2006-2007 was when we received a standing ovation in Besiktas. It was another glory, glory night in Europe, but all the more special because of the talented young team that represented us that night. Tottenham’s style of play won over the Turkish fans. We’re proud of you.”

Shak Rahman: “I have been to over 1,000 Spurs matches and I have never experienced such a gesture. What made it all the more remarkable was that this was in Istanbul and that the Besiktas support was awesome.”

David McCarthy: “For me the best moment of the season was the away win in Turkey, it was the most electric and intimidating atmosphere that I have experienced for many years. The performance on the pitch did not stop the Turks making noise for the whole of the match. To be applauded of at the end showed that they have real passion for their football and appreciated the quality of our team that night.”

Shaun Wiseman: “The atmosphere the Besiktas fans generated in their stadium – I’ve never experienced anything like it before.”

Andy Watts: “It has to be the goal that Dimitar Berbatov scored against Besiktas! The way he took that goal was the moment I realised how class this man actually was!”
