Tony passes test
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Anthony Gardner is ready for the game of his life - after the one of the toughest tests of his career so far.
With Dean Richards cup-tied, the stylish defender should hold onto his place from Saturday's draw against Everton for Wednesday's massive Worthington Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
Still just 21, Anthony faced arguably the biggest challenge of his fledgling Premiership career against Duncan Ferguson on Saturday.
But he came through with flying colours - Ferguson had one header at goal all afternoon - and drew praise from Glenn Hoddle afterwards.
Anthony reflected: "I don't think there is a bigger test in the air.
"He's immense and makes if difficult for you all the time. If he's not going to win it he makes it hard.
"You have to stick to the task and try and battle away. I knew I had to be up for it, ready for it and up for the challenge."
Having come through that test, he will have the small matter of an on-fire Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to deal with on Wednesday.
"It will the biggest game I've been involved in," said Anthony. "It's a massive game and it will be my first final if we manage to get through."
