Tom hopes for happy travels

Tom Huddlestone has stressed the need for us to show our tougher side away from home again after a successful season on our travels last season.

In our fight to finish in the top four we accumulated 26 points on the road - the highest number of away points we had won since the 1995-96 season.

This included impressive wins at places such as Stoke City - where we return in the Premier League on Saturday.

And the midfielder knows that if we can continue last season's away form there is nothing to stop us reaching similar heights in the current campaign.

Tom said: "If we want to finish in the top four again we've got to go and win at places like Stoke - we can't really fear anybody.

"I was injured when we went to Stoke last season but the lads got a great result. From speaking to the coaches, it sounded like we got the ball down on the deck and passed them off the pitch.

"Last season we showed more resilience and a tougher side away from home, so we don't need to fear anyone because we've got a lot to offer as a package."

We will be taking on Tony Pulis' men on the back of a dramatic Champions League Play-Off encounter with Young Boys in Switzerland on Tuesday.

But Tom feels the side are ready to resume domestic action, adding: "If you're playing midweek games every week then it proves you're doing something right because you're in a lot of competitions."
