Tom expects Harry to shine

Tom Carroll is confident Harry Kane will continue to go from strength to strength this season.

The young striker bagged two goals in two games for England Under-21s this week.

His first secured victory in Lithuania last Friday before drilling home from Tom’s pass for the third goal of the Young Lions’ 3-0 win in Moldova on Tuesday night.

Add those goals and an assist against Moldova to two goals and a match-winning assist at West Ham and Harry has made a positive start to the season.

“As with every striker, the more goals they get, the more confident they get and that's the case with Harry,” said Tom, who proudly captained the Under-21s in Tiraspol.

“He has showed everyone what he's all about this season.

“I'm sure he'll get more chances and I'm confident he'll take those chances when they come around.

“You have to have that self-belief and for the manager to have belief in you and once you get both of those factors, you grow in confidence.”

Tom is on loan at Swansea this season. “I feel I've settled in nicely, training is sharp and I'm really enjoying it,” he added. “It's a good opportunity for me in the Premier League and I know I have to make the most of it.”
