Toby Alderweireld will give everything for the Spurs cause.
That's the promise from the Belgian international who joined us from Atletico Madrid earlier this week.
Already capped 47 times by Belgium, Toby, a multi-title winner in his time at Ajax and Atletico, has signed a deal until 2020.
He's a familiar face to his three Belgian team-mates Nacer Chadli, Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen, who he played with alongside Jan at Ajax.
He's also a familiar face for Spurs fans having played twice against us during his loan spell at Southampton last season.
But for those who have never seen Toby play, the defender had this promise. “I always give my 100 per cent."
He added: "The rest of the qualities, other people can say, but I’m a team player and I really want to win. That’s what I do.
"It doesn’t matter if I play centre-back, right-back or midfield, if I can help the team, I will do it. That is my motivation before every game. The rest - you’ll have to ask other people!”
Toby played 28 times for the Saints in all competitions, helping the St Mary's team to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League.
“I have the experience of a year in the Premier League, we had a very good year at Southampton and I feel confident I can now help the team at Tottenham," he added.
"It’s good I have a year in the Premier League so I have the experience of what to expect and that will be advantage."
