Tim joins missing list
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Just when you thought our injury problems couldn't get any worse - Tim Sherwood has joined the missing list for Saturday's visit of Manchester United.
Boss Glenn Hoddle revealed that the midfielder had been in the treatment room since picking up a nasty shin injury from a tackle against Leicester City.
The problem was actually worse than was initially believed at Filbert Street and the stand-in skipper went for scans earlier this week - thankfully nothing serious was found.
Tim joins Sol Campbell (ankle), Darren Anderton (Achilles), Ben Thatcher (groin), Ledley King (fractured cheekbone), Steffen Iversen (concussion), Sergei Rebrov (hamstring) and Chris Armstrong (groin) on the casualty list.
There were hopes that Steffen Freund and Chris Perry (both knee) would have a chance after returning to training this week but Glenn hinted that neither would be risked.
Meanwhile Mauricio Taricco, who made his reserve comeback 10 days ago, has tweaked a hamstring slightly.
With a rye smile, Glenn said: "Unfortunately I've got to report that it has got worse.
"Tim Sherwood has had two weeks since the Leicester game in the treatment room and tried it this morning (Thursday) but it's not worth taking a risk at this stage of the season. He's one of the experienced players we've had available.
"No-one will be back. We've had a return to a couple of days training for Steffen Freund and Chris Perry but they haven't had enough under their belts and all we do is put them on offer to pick up another injury and at this stage we don't want to do that.
"So we'll have an even younger side out but it is a good challemge for them against the best in the country and they will learn from it."
