The work has begun in Malaysia!
25 May 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Our Global Coaching team has begun the delivery of its programme in Malaysia ahead of the First Team's arrival in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday for the AIA Cup.
Supported by the legendary Ossie Ardiles, Club Ambassador, the coaches have been working in partnership with AIA and the FA of Malaysia (FAM) to develop local players at grassroots level.
So far, the team has delivered a session for players within the Brickfields Community Programme, a project that provides increased access to football for underprivileged young people in KL.
The Club and AIA launched a partnership with Brickfields last year, which involves our coaches working with the project's coaches to share methods and philosophies.
Our coaching team, which consists of Andy Rogers, Miles Leighton, Nick Hardy and Tony Tillbrook, then held an educational workshop for FAM Academy coaches before the methods were put into practice with Malaysia's best young football talent.
It is part of a week's worth of Global Coaching activity being delivered alongside the Tour, with programmes also running in Sydney, Australia, ahead of the First Team's arrival there.
