The morning after the night before

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The grin was still fixed firmly on the face of Johnnie Jackson when he arrived for training at Spurs Lodge on Thursday.

The young midfielder's excitable mood was, of course, not just to do with the fact that the team overcame Charlton in the thrilling encounter at the Valley the night before - more likely he had just finished watching the video of his stunning match-sealing goal again.

"I'm still buzzing," said the 21-year-old when we managed to sit him down. "It was a great feeling and the adrenalin is still pumping a little bit, just coming in and seeing everyone from last night.

"I've seen the goal on the telly - my Dad taped it - and I watched it when I got home. I'll keep that tape, you look forward to watching it because everything happens so quickly at the time. It is nice to sit down and watch it - especially as it was a fairly nice goal," he added, before saying steps will be taken to avoid this particular video being taped over by a family member.

"That one will be locked away in a cupboard now!"

While the Valley strike was his first senior goal for Spurs, it was actually his third goal of the season and he does appear to specialise in dramatic late ones.

While on loan at Coventry City he netted a last minute leveller away at Crystal Palace before cemented his place in Highfield Road hearts with 90th minute winner against West Brom.

"That was a really good feeling as well, it was a big crowd and a local derby," he reflected of the latter. "I got the winner in the last minute and, up to Wednesday, that was probably my best moment in football.

"To do it for Spurs though, especially at the end where all the fans were, nothing can compare to that - it was just brilliant."
