The Jol verdict
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Martin Jol offers his post-match reaction to the 3-1 Peace Cup win over Sundowns in Suwon on Monday evening.
IT WAS A very satisfying win and the strikers did it again - they were good goals and we looked lively up front. In the last 15-20 minutes we looked a bit tired and we had big men in defence against their small and quick strikers. We didn't do perfectly on that.
We scored three goals though and could have scored three more with other chances. As we get a bit fitter I think we have to start keeping the ball a bit more. We had the initiative and lost it towards the end of the game so that was a bit of a disappointment.
We can't complain too much, it was the first game out here for most of the team - we only played two outfield players from the start - Pedro Mendes and Andy Reid - who began against Boca Juniors.
We did very well, Sundowns beat Real Sociedad 1-0 and we've got four points now. Hopefully we can get to the final.
We can be satisfied with the stamina levels although we didn't look sharp at the end, but with our strikers we always looked dangerous. The positive thing with going 3-0 up was we could make changes and get Aaron Lennon, Mounir El-Hamdaoui and Dean Marney on.
Teemu Tainio must have been very tired but I needed him, like I needed Pedro Mendes in the first half. You do what you have to do and I think we did well.
Remaining games: Real Sociedad v Spurs (Ulsan, July 21, 11am GMT); Boca Juniors v Sundowns (Kwangju. July 21, 11am).
