Back at Spurs Lodge, Martin Jol gives his final, reflective views on the win against Blackburn on Sunday.

I THINK it was a great result against Blackburn.

I wasn't particularly happy with how we played, especially in the second half, but sometimes we have problems at home.

Even when we had the chance to break on them and play on the counter attack we were sloppy. Aaron Lennon came on and gave us an outlet. We played bit narrow in midfield until then and he gave us a bit of an option and wanted to attack the space. I was pleased with him.

We made a great start with two goals in the first half but once they scored we were a bit insecure.

There was a lot of tension because we were thinking do we go for 3-1 or protect the lead?

At Sunderland we played on and on and eventually they scored the equaliser. We were caught in two minds and that was a problem.

We struggled because we couldn't get the initiative back and Blackburn were the better team but that doesn't mean everything. You still have to score goals and Robbie Keane made a difference for us in the first half.

The lads showed great spirit to come back after Blackburn equalised to score two minutes later, that is exactly what you want.

I'm happy with the result but it's about balance as well and that's what we've talked about with the players.

It was a difficult week with a number of players away on international duty and no game. Sometimes you can play too many games, sometimes you lack rhythm - you can look for all sorts of things but we had a win, a great result and we've 49 points on the board now.

We have six away games and four at home so we know it will be a tough battle but we are up for it and all the players have to stand up and be counted because I think it's a great opportunity to achieve what we want.
