Robbie Keane and Jermaine Jenas summed up the mood in the squad when they insisted: "Getting to Wembley alone isn't enough."

Tuesday night's monumental 5-1 win over Arsenal in the semi-final, second leg of the Carling Cup secured a 6-2 aggregate scoreline and a final against Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday February 24.

Keano and JJ played key roles over the two legs - combining for JJ to score our goal in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates in the first leg before netting a goal each and setting up another three between them in the 5-1 return at the Lane.

"It means a lot to everyone," said Robbie. "Traditionally Tottenham have always got to cup finals and I always believed it was only a matter of time with the squad we have before we did the same.

"We're there now and it's great getting to the final but now we want to win it and that's what we're focused on. As I said though, it's great for everyone associated with Tottenham, especially the fans."

JJ added: "As Keano said, it's about winning. It's okay getting to the final and putting in all the hard work to get there, but we don't want to just go and lose the final now.

"It was fantastic celebrating the win against Arsenal and enjoying the night with the fans and it's great to get to Wembley but no-one wants to lose and now we have to complete the job."
