The Final Countdown - Tim's lucky break
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Tim Sherwood admits he's had a 'lucky break' this season - a break that has led to his first cup final.
The experienced midfielder was out of favour earlier in the season as firstly injury and then the fine form of Steffen Freund left him on the sidelines.
But Tim dug in, played his reserve football and when Steffen was injured at Chelsea in January, grabbed his chance.
He has been a fixture in the first team since and is determined for it to stay that way.
He said: "I wasn't in the side firstly due to injury and then being left out with the team doing so well.
"Unfortunately for Steffen Freund but fortunately for myself I got a lucky break and I'm back in the side and it's up to me to make it difficult to be left out again."
Tim, 33, is now preparing for his first cup final after 15 years as a professional.
Ironically enough, that final is against Blackburn Rovers, the team he led to the Premiership title back in 1995.
"It will be difficult game," he said. "I know on paper we should win the game but they aren't won on paper. It will be tough.
"You only have to look back on when Birmingham played Liverpool. No-one thought it would go to extra time and penalties but it did.
"They have exciting players especially in forward areas and we will have to be on our game for the whole 90 minutes. Those players can win the game on their own and that's why you have to be wary of them. Hopefully then, if we play like we can, we'll win the game."
