Dimitar, himself a newcomer this time last year, views the spirit within the camp as a vital ingredient towards success.
"If you watch us in training and other times, see how we talk and joke with each other, the way we welcome the new players, it is fantastic and that is how it should be," reflected the Bulgarian international.
"I’m very pleased about that because when you have a good team spirit then you can achieve a lot in football."
We head into the final of the Vodacom Challenge against Orlando Pirates on Saturday, something the striker is keen to win as a boost ahead of the season starting in a fortnight’s time.
"The most important thing in pre-season is not so much to win the games but to see how the club is going, how the new players are adapting to the style of our club.
"When the Premiership starts, then obviously the results are most important, but until then we must prepare well and I am sure we are doing just that.
"I’ve enjoyed my time here, and now we have one more game to play, and as a Tottenham player obviously I want to win. Everything is going well and we have got no complaints.
"Hopefully we can win our last game, and go home happy. I can speak for all the players when I say we have had a fantastic time and are glad we are here."
