We should like to express our gratitude to everyone who has made our pre-season tour of North America such a great success.
We sold out the away allocation at all three of our fixtures in the United States and Canada with more than 55,000 supporters in total flocking to the opening match of our tour against Seattle Sounders, while we played to sell-out crowds at both Toronto FC and Chicago Fire.
Supporters also turned up in their thousands as we hosted open training sessions, signing sessions and supporters evenings in every city we visited. Memorable supporter events were held in the company of Ledley King, Steffen Freund, Paul Stalteri, Brad Friedel and Kasey Keller.
We were overwhelmed to hear about the vast distances fans travelled to meet and watch us - with 24 of our 30 Supporters Clubs from across North America represented during the tour too, a wonderful show of support.
Seattle Spurs even created their own British Bitter to mark our arrival, while Spurs Canada donated kit to local youth team Toronto Nitros who took part in a coaching clinic with our global coaches and players. Members of Chicago Spurs took part in a toy drive for the children's ward at the University of Illinois which our players then handed out to patients.
Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino said: "I want to thank all of our fans who have travelled to be with us during our pre-season tour, some of who have covered great distances to attend our matches. On behalf of the coaching staff and players, I would like to say just how much we appreciate your support and, for me, it reinforces just how big of a club this is."
