Terry back for Ledley as Lions roar

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King was back on the bench as England got back on track in Euro 2004 with a 3-0 win against Switzerland yesterday.

The 23-year-old was an unused substitute as Sven Goran Eriksson opted to turn back to John Terry to partner Sol Campbell in defence.

Ledley was outstanding in the opener against France with Terry sidelined as he recovered from a hamstring injury.

But Terry did little wrong as a double strike from Wayne Rooney and a goal from Steven Gerrard saw England home.

They know now that a draw against Croatia should be good enough to take them through to the knock-out stages - a win guarantees it.

Terry was nevertheless impressed with Ledley's performance against France. "I thought Ledley was brilliant. He was defensively very comfortable, was very comfortable on the ball left and right footed, won some great headers and some great tackles," he said.
