Teddy Sheringham describes Steve McClaren as a manager who 'is going places'.
McClaren has shaped Middlesbrough into a force in the Premiership, adding a touch of flair to the always-dependable defence based around Gareth Southgate and Ugo Ehiogu.
Tough to beat, seemingly now capable of scoring, Boro arrive at the Lane sitting pretty in seventh spot and are clearly challengers for a UEFA Cup spot this season.
Before taking over at the Riverside last season, McClaren learned the coaching ropes at Oxford United and Derby County before a successful three-year stint at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson - including the 1998-99 treble.
Of course, our super skipper Teddy was at United alongside McClaren during that golden era.
"For a start, he's very knowledgable," said Teddy. "Steve went to Manchester United and enjoyed working under Alex Ferguson, the players they had and learned a few things.
"He obviously learned from Derby as well and you can tell he's going places.
"He's very organised and we'll certainly have our work cut out on Saturday.
"We'll have to perform at the highest level to break down what he will have as a very organised team."
Three-goal Teddy expects little change out of Southgate and Ehiogu. He added: "They are always solid and Gareth Southgate and Ugo Ehiogu were the same at Aston Villa.
"It was always hard then and you'd always get 0-0s, 1-0s and now it's the same against Boro. It's always tight, they are organised and tough to break down."
