Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
David Pleat has extolled the virtues of team play at both ends of the pitch as we prepare to face Middlesbrough tonight.
The defensive and offensive aspects of our game have been highlighted of late with our last four results reading 3-4, 4-3, 4-2 and 4-4.
However, our form in the Premiership is good - we travel to the Riverside with five wins and a draw in seven matches in 2004.
Asked about our goalscoring form, particularly Jermain Defoe's fine start, acting boss David replied: "Jermain has scored four goals for us and 15 for West Ham this season, a remarkable total considering he played so few games for them.
"Robbie Keane has 16 in all competitions and Fredi Kanoute has got a dozen.
"I think we've got players who are capable of scoring goals but of course you can't score goals without the right service. It's a group thing.
"The whole team has to support them, the same way the whole team has to support the defence when we're defending.
"So when you look at 4-4s or 4-3s it's not just that we've defended badly but maybe that the group defending isn't as good as it should be or we've made individual mistakes.
"We've been clinically through the goals we've conceded over the last three months and apart from things that happen in football like own goals - we've had a glut of them this season - some individuals have made mistakes and that cannot continue.
"Fortunately for us they were mistakes in league matches where results were retrievable and we did retrieve them by scoring late goals to get points."
