Andre Villas-Boas expects Sunday's huge clash against United to be 'too soon' for William Gallas to make his return.

The defender has been out since picking up a calf injury against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

As reported earlier, Sandro is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season after surgery on his right knee earlier this week. Younes Kaboul also remains out.

"It might be a bit too soon for William, we’re assessing his return to squad training this week," reported Andre after training on Friday. "Younes is still out, but the rest of the squad is fine.

"Sandro was in outstanding form and will be missed, for sure. At the same time, we’re fortunate that we can trust the likes of Scott Parker, Tom, Jake and Tom Carroll."
