Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

David Pleat reports that a 'sensible decision' will be taken on the possible involvement of Fredi Kanoute against Manchester City tonight.

The caretaker boss is keeping his cards close to his chest on team news for the Carling Cup clash as he reveals that there are a couple of concerns ahead of the game.

"We might have one or two struggling in the camp and we would like to keep that to ourselves until the last minute," said David, speaking on Tuesday at Spurs Lodge. "We will have to cope with that.

"Fredi trained this morning, will probably train tomorrow morning and then we'll make a sensible decision."

Meanwhile, David responded to reports that Brentford goalkeeper Paul Smith has spent time at the training ground this week by stating that it is common for clubs to assess players close up.

"We just thought we'd have him in for a few days," he revealed. "It is going on all the time at all clubs - Wolves recently had a young trialist called Gascoigne for a while!

"Every club takes players, looks at players and it gives them a better idea. I gave Gary McAllister Johnnie Jackson for a few days and said 'if you like him, you can loan him'.

"He liked him and he has played two decent reserve games and two first team games. I'm in an ideal position with Jackson, if he does well and furthers himself in Division One we may have a player here. I might not find that out by him just playing in the reserves.

"It suited me to send Johnnie to Coventry, just as it suited me to send young Mark Yeates to Brighton. They are playing league football and that is fantastic."
