Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Martin Jol is facing a defensive headache as he prepares for Sunday's clash against Newcastle United at the Lane.

Noureddine Naybet is still struggling with a hamstring problem that surfaced again at Birmingham last week and the Head Coach reported this afternoon that Anthony Gardner has been struggling with a foot injury all week.

Anthony has been first-choice to step in whenever there has been a central defensive problem this season.

Fellow defender Noe Pamarot - who played a central role so successfully at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup - is also out after tearing a cruciate ligament at St Andrews.

Martin hinted it could mean a first appearance for Michael Dawson since his switch from Forest with Andy Reid in January.

The England Under-21 international has recovered from a shin problem and stepped back in to full training this week.

Martin said: "Unfortunately Noe's not available and Naybet has a problem so Anthony would come in but he hasn't trained today or all week with a foot injury.

"We have Goran Bunjevcevic and Michael Dawson to come in. Michael didn't play for the reserves on Wednesday but if it's really necessary, he could be involved.

"Thimothee Atouba is also suspended, Pedro Mendes is still out and might be a problem for the rest of the season with his toe and Simon Davies is a question mark with his calf."

The one bright spot on the injury front was Reto Ziegler, who had to be replaced at St Andrews after suffering a hamstring injury.

"Reto is alright," added Martin. "He's not 100 per cent but he trained today and he looked fine."
