Edgar Davids is back is the squad and joined by new signing Danny Murphy for Sunday's Premiership clash at Sunderland.

Dutch midfielder Edgar picked up a hairline fracture of the fibula against Aston Villa on January 21 and was forced out of the matches against Fulham and Charlton.

His recovery is perfect timing as fellow midfielder Teemu Tainio is ruled out with ankle and knee problems.

Lee Young-Pyo returns following the recent death of his father and Michael Dawson is available again after suspension ruled him out against Charlton. Lee Barnard is fighting to shake off a foot strain but winger Andy Reid remains out with his knee injury.

"Edgar is back in the squad and trained today," reported Head Coach Martin on Friday afternoon. "Teemu won't be available and we'll have to assess Lee Barnard on Saturday, Andy Reid is out for another three to four weeks.

"Young-Pyo went to Korea because his father died and it was an emotional time for him, he spent 10 days over there but he's back now and available again."
