Harry Redknapp is playing the waiting game but remains hopeful over the fitness of three players leading up to our Boxing Day clash against Fulham.

Harry Redknapp is playing the waiting game but remains hopeful over the fitness of three players leading up to our Boxing Day clash against Fulham.

Jonathan Woodgate, Darren Bent and Jermaine Jenas all missed the last-minute loss at Newcastle on Sunday.

Centre-back Woody picked up a back injury in the goalless draw against Manchester United on December 13 and was joined early back in the dressing room by JJ, who suffered a calf problem.

Meanwhile, Darren has been out for the last week with with a bout of tonsilitis.

"We have to wait and see, really," reported boss Harry this week. "Jonathan's back is hopefully going to be okay. It's day by day with him, really.

"Jermaine is feeling a bit better, his calf is easier and we'll have to see how he goes this week.

"Darren Bent has had a virus and lost a bit of weight so we'll wait and see with him as well."
