Robbie Keane is happy with his current goals to games ratio but it is the winning of points rather than personal milestones that interest the striker at the moment. The vice-captain made it 14 goals in his last 12 games with his double strike against Middlesbrough on Saturday, bringing his tally for the season to 21 - the best return of his career so far, with three games remaining in the campaign.

He suspects his form is as good as ever, but he reserved a mention for his strike partner Dimitar Berbatov, who also reached 21 for the season with a spectacular volley early in the second half at the Riverside.

"Probably, I'm not a big one for stats though and just want to do my best for the team. My job is to score goals and luckily enough they are going in for me at the moment.

"Berba has been tremendous this season. Considering it is his first one in the Premiership he has taken to it no problem and it shows in his performances.

"He scored a great goal from a good ball from Hossam Ghaly. I was right behind it and was lucky to see it fly in - he has been doing that sort of thing all season," added Robbie, who insists there is no race between himself and Dimitar to finish top of the goalscoring charts.

"Not at all, we are a partnership and it is about the team," he continued, before offering his take on our final Premiership prospects.

"It is in our own hands, we have an extra game and knew that if we could get the three points it would put us in good shape for the next three games."
