Our director of football David Pleat takes his regular look at our forthcoming opponents - next up, Newcastle United.
NEWCASTLE UNITED ARE going really well. They have a lot of youth in the team, good young legs and a great goalscorer. Janus and Dyer have settled well and no-one doubts the goalkeeper either.
It has been suggested that Bobby is looking for defenders and he's changed the back players around a little but Caldwell has come on.
They have Shearer and he is a very good leader of the group and almost dictates the tempo of the group from up front.
Most people, neutrals, are delighted that Newcastle are doing well because Bobby is everyone's favourite, certainly one of mine. He is real gentleman and I could relate personal stories to tell you that. Charlie Woods is up there as well and Gordon Milne, the director of football.
If we win it will be fantastic and that's what we need.

Their home record is much better than their away record but their away record has picked up.
They used to have a terrible record in London that they are over now and didn't travel well.
With Bellamy and Shearer firing there are always goals, Solano and Robert, they have some very good players.
The wonderful thing about Newcastle is they've never really stuck a holding midfield player in there. I think that is essential to any team, someone to anchor the team. If you look at Newcastle play, when they get possession, they really do go forward.
They have quick accelerators from midfield in Dyer, Janus and of course Speed is a very interesting player. I don't know if he'll be fit for next week but he is so good at getting in the box but he's been able to change his game a little to try and play more reservedly.
Massive credit to Newcastle. They are back in the top three. They beat the odds last season and no-one to do it again. Their Champions' League story was incredible, losing the first three but going through by winning the next three. They probably haven't had time to breathe.
