Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
John Sutton described his goal against Everton as 'one in a million for him' as our under-18 side now seek to make up a single goal deficit in the Youth Cup semi-final return.
Sutton reduced the arrears on 65 minutes after Everton stormed into a 2-0 half-time lead. His goal has buoyed the team and they are now relishing the return at the Lane next Wednesday on what should be a sizzling night of football with a place in a two-legged final at stake.
"It's brilliant," beamed John. "It's all set up for next week and I can't wait to go out and play it.
"We were really disappointed to go 2-0 down and it's always a bit of a struggle. We got the goal second half and we're right back in the game.
"We will give 110 per cent and hopefully go out there and turn it round."
John's goal came when he picked up the ball some 25 yards out with his back to goal. There looked to be little on and a strike on goal looked unlikely.
"It was probably one in a million for me. I just chested it down and it was a bit behind me. I thought I might as well have a strike and I caught it perfect and it ended up in the back of the net.
"It was more instinctive as I chested it behind me and I caught it as sweetly as I could. It was just one of those arkward ones that went right in the corner and I was really pleased with it."
John adds that clawing back a goal away from home really keeps the tie on the boil as 2-0 down would have been a steep hill to climb.
"It's nice. We only need to get a single goal now to keep the game alive. We're all fired up for next week now and can't wait for it.
"I'm confident we can do it although Everton are a very good side, as we saw tonight. The two strikers played excellent for them and they scored two very good goals."
