Support the U18s at the Lane

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The countdown has started for the Lane to play host to the cream of English football talent.

We are the proud hosts of England Under-18s crucial European Championship Intermediate Round match on Thursday. Kick-off is 8pm and it is hoped our promising midfielder Johnnie Jackson will play for England on his home turf.

England have an impressive track record against Poland. In the 12 internationals played so far at this level, England has won seven, drawn three and lost only two. The last time England played Poland at this level was in the 1992 European Championship Finals when the score was 6-1 to England.

An impressive number of clubs are represented in this squad of England young guns. As well as Jackson, Jermaine Pennant (Arsenal), Jay Bothroyd (Coventry City), James Davis (Manchester United), Rory Fallon (Barnsley), Jolean Lescott (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Leon Knight (Chelsea) are on all on show.

Fans have the added bonus of watching all the action for free! Tickets for accompanied children and OAP’s are free, with all other tickets only priced £3 each. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket hotline on 08700 112 222, or on the night at the ticket office.

England U18’s coach Martin Hunter says: "The Under 18 squad comprises of some of England’s best young talent, with many tipped to progress on to the senior team."

"This match is crucial — a victory would put England in a strong position for the away leg, to played on April 26 in Poland. Progress from this stage would see England qualified for this year’s European Under-18 Championships in Finland, which are taking place from July 21 to 29 this year."

West Ham United and England defender, Stuart Pearce, who is a member of the coaching staff said: "This match promises to be an exciting fixture and we are hoping for a big crowd to give us a reception to remember."
