Sully's back!

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Neil Sullivan is back in full training after a spell of over three months on the sidelines.

The Scottish international goalkeeper fractured his thumb in a freak training ground accident at the end of August.

Having maintained his fitness throughout, Sully finally donned the gloves again on Friday and says he's now looking forward to playing again.

"I've had two days back now," he revealed at Spurs Lodge on Monday.

"I started on Friday and eased myself back into it today, had a good, technical morning with Perry Suckling and it feels great.

"I've had no trouble and no reaction so touch wood, that's it."

Was he wary of the problem in his first sessions back? "Not really," he said. "I guess that comes from breaking both legs. You know when you go back into it that it's mended and it's just a case of getting my eye in.

"I've done all my fitness work in the lay-off I've had, so it's not a case of having to come back and work on my fitness and goalkeeping. It feels great and I'm looking forward to playing games again.

"I'm going to have another couple of days with Hans Segers and make myself available for selection after that. We'll see what happens."

Sully added that however much he was missing the game, he couldn't have returned any earlier.

"You are torn between looking forward to playing again, that's what I love doing, training and being out there with the lads but at the same time you have to be realistic and know if you come back too soon and it goes again that you'll then be out for another few weeks. You have to be sensible.

"To be fair, the medical team have done a great job, it's mended properly and we'll carry on.

"It was one of those freak accidents that happen so you can't worry about it, just forget about it and move on.

"All I can do now is work hard, keep my head down and go from there."
