Story time for Academy lads
30 March 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
All players within our Academy follow an education programme in the classroom as well as on the pitch, including the chance to study for qualifications such as A-Levels, BTECs and NVQs.
As part of their off-field education, Under-18 players have been supporting our Foundation’s literacy programme in local primary schools by delivering storytelling sessions to children.
Joined by professional story teller Tony Dallas, the players read children’s books to classes, often getting into character and gaining a great response from students.
It’s a great way of developing individual characters and expanding communication skills as part of the Academy’s aim to produce well-rounded individuals off the pitch as well as top quality players on it.
