Stories from the season...
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
There's a distinct Paul Robinson flavour to the latest batch of your stories and recollections of season 2004-05...
From Daniel Thomas, Balham: Paul Robinson was the overwhelming winner of all of last season's player of the year polls. Why? His performances have been consistently excellent of course, but his superb relationship with the fans is a major factor.
Whether it's the constant banter with the Park Lane supporters or the throwing of gloves into the stands every game, Robbo always takes time to salute our magnificent support.
The abiding memory of the season for me was Robbo dragging the understandably disappointed team - who were trudging towards the tunnel - over to the corner of St James Park, where 5,500 Spurs diehards had provided the boys with 90 mins of outstanding support.
So here's to you, Paul Robinson, we all love you - despite the horrendous white jacket you wore on the last day of the season!
From Sarah Bourke: My favourite moment was the Aston Villa home game this season when Paul Robinson received a standing ovation from the great Spurs fans after the heroic England number one tried to carry on playing after his injury.
From T Canfield: I have never experienced any goalkeeper with such a massive relationship with Spurs faithful. Paul Robinson never fails to chuck his gloves in the crowd after a game.
When I went to see Spurs against Portsmouth at the Lane, when Robbo went down to the Park Lane end at the start of the second half he applauded the fans and raised their spirits. That was a huge influence on us causing us to scream his name over and over as well as rallying our players to an excellent 3-1 win.
I would like to see Paul at the club for many years and hope his relationship becomes stronger with the fans. So to conclude I would like to say a massive thank you to Paul Robinson.
