Stephane ready for Reds test
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Stephane Dalmat is looking forward to pitting his wits against Liverpool's often impregnable defensive shield.
Liverpool, who sit fifth in the Premiership table with a game in hand, have enjoyed their own positive beginning to 2004 with wins over Yeovil, Chelsea and Aston Villa and the prospect of playing in such a fixture clearly appeals to the French midfielder.
"It is a beautiful game to play in," commented Stephane, who watched highlights of the Anfield outfit's victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. "I think after our two wins over Birmingham and Leeds we want to, if possible, win against Liverpool.
"I saw their match against Chelsea and they are a good team. I think we can win the match though and have the possibility of playing very well."
It will be something of a French connection at the Lane with Liverpool managed, of course, by Gerard Houllier and having in their ranks Djimi Traore, Anthony Le Tallec, Florent Sinama Pongolle and Bruno Cheyrou - who netted against Chelsea.
"I know Cheyrou from playing him at Lille. El Hadji Diouf is my friend but he will not play because he is going to the African Nations."
Despite a taking time in adapting to the English game, Stephane feels that Cheyrou will soon prove himself in the Premiership.
"It is difficult. I know he has had problems with the physical side, but he is good player and I think he will do well."
