Steffen's semi-something

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Steffen Iversen knows exactly what it's like to take Spurs to a cup final - and he's desperate to help fire us back into Europe.

Our Norwegian striker was one the heroes of our Worthington Cup triumph in 1999.

Steffen lobbed home a delightful goal in the semi-final second leg at Wimbledon to book our place in the final against Leicester City and then, with legs weary, went on a 50-yard run to set up Allan Nielsen's famous last-minute winner at Wembley.

"I would love to do that again," laughed Steffen. "They were great days."

Gus: Time to end the pain

With Les Ferdinand rated 50-50, the 26-year-old may yet play a crucial part in the semi-final second leg against Chelsea at the Lane on Wednesday.

"We want to be back in Europe," stated Steffen. "The club belongs there and we want to be there every year.

"Unfortunately, since I've been at the club, we've only been there once and that time we were a little unlucky. We have a good chance now.

"All we need is one goal and if we keep a clean sheet, we're there. We have to be positive, play how we know we can play and try and win the game.

"It will be a tough but we managed a fairly good result from the first game and if we can get that goal we will have a good chance of winning it."
