Steff back in the goals
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
As comebacks go, Steffen Iversen's takes some beating - two starts, two goals.
After returning to the first team picture following injury and illness, Steffen started against Chelsea in the Worthington Cup return with some effect. He scored the first of our five and set the tone for the night after just two minutes.
To top up his confidence he handed us the lead against Newcastle with a smart finish, but the night ended in disappointment. A boost for Glenn, however, is the fact that he has another striking option in full working order.
"I'm feeling quite good actually, my fitness is fine and I'm feeling nothing from the injury," said Steffen at Spurs Lodge on Thursday.
"It seems the form is coming on more and more the more I play."
But goals is the currency strikers trade in and the Norwegian is happy his account opened again so quickly after returning.
"Of course, I've started two games in a row and scored in them both. I'll keep on going and hopefully I can get some more goals - hopefully this Saturday."
Steffen also says there is more to come when he reaches full match fitness.
"The sharpness can be better of course, it comes along after the games. I'm feel quite good now, but I know I can be better than this.
"It's just a case of getting the games and everything will come into place, I think."
And he hopes his goals will make it very difficult for Glenn to remove him from the starting line-up, although he feels competition for places is healthy.
"That's true. There is a lot of competition, not just for the strikers, but for everyone on the pitch.
"I think it's healthy for us because we know there will usually be two fit strikers who can play any time - and that's good for the club."
